Angsana Resort and Spa, Bali, Indonesia
The Angsana Resort and Spa (Angsana Tepi Kahyangan), Bali, is due to open in the second half of 2008.
Offering six bespoke private residences, 28 villas and 33 apartments, the resort was designed by UK architectural firm Gfab in conjunction with Architrave Design and Planning.
The resort is being developed by Masuka Investment Group and will be managed by Banyan Tree Hotels and Resort Group.
The resort's spa will have eight dedicated massage suites, four of which will be poolside. Each suite will a private garden and bath set into wraparound ponds.
The spa will offer three Jacuzzi pools (with ocean views), a fully equipped gymnasium and exercise studio, personal trainers, a sauna, steam room and luxury changing room and relaxation facilities.
The resort will offer 18 one-bedroom villas (160m²), five two-bedroom villas (260m²) and five three-bedroom villas (360m²). Each villa will have a plunge pool.
Each villa will have its own private swimming pool and sundeck, kitchen and state-of-the-art entertainment system with flat-screen TV.
The villas are designed so each bedroom can be rented separately, allowing the owner to make maximum returns through rental income.
There are also 33 two-bedroom apartments, which are stepped back from the cliffs, offering views of the southern coast.
Each apartment sub-divides into a one-bedroom suite and a one-bedroom superior hotel room. In addition, each of the apartments will come equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, entertainment system with 42in flat-screen television, a large sundeck and a private plunge pool.
There will be also be four deluxe penthouse apartments in the development with 300m² of living space, roof deck and a private plunge pool.
The resort has been designed with a communal relaxation area surrounding the edge of a central pool. The resort's 80-seat restaurant offers private functions as well as starlit dining.
The resort is also fully equipped for business use with meeting rooms and conference and business facilities (fully equipped with multimedia facilities).
